CANADIAN SPORT AWARDS

OTTAWA (September 26, 2019) - Canadian athletes had an incredible year of shattering records, making history and effecting positive change in sport from grassroots to high performance. These achievements and contributions received top recognition at the 42nd Canadian Sport Awards (CSAs), which were held Saturday in Toronto.

One hundred of Canada's top athletes and sporting heroes were on hand at the CSAs, Canada's premier event for sport achievement and leadership recognition. The event, hosted by CBC Sports reporter Devin Heroux, honoured 14 winners from 4 categories: Sport Performance, Influencers, Corporate Excellence and People's Choice.

"We are proud of the exceptional individuals and organizations who were honoured at the 2019 Canadian Sport Awards", said Dasha Peregoudova, President of AthletesCAN. “Whether it be through excellence in performance, overcoming hardship, or a building a legacy in sport and society, we are privileged to be able to tell their stories and recognize them in this way.
