ATHLETES FROM 2018 PYEONGCHANG WINTER GAMES AND GOLD COAST COMMONWEALTH GAMES DOMINATE CANADIAN SPORT AWARDS!

OTTAWA (September 20, 2018) – Canadian athletes at the 2018 Olympic Winter and Paralympic Games in PyeongChang and 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia were the majority winners in the “Performance Category” of the 41st Canadian Sport Awards (CSA), which were held last night in Ottawa.

Sport Matters Group Recommends Amendments to Bill S-228 to better combat child obesity / inactivity

OTTAWA (April 25, 2018) – A coalition of over 80 sport, physical activity and recreation organizations under the umbrella of the Sport Matters Group is urging the federal government to make amendments which include an exemption to sport sponsorship from Bill S-228: An Act to amend the Food and Drugs Act (prohibiting food and beverage marketing directed at children).
