Supporting Canadian Athletes

Sport Information Resource Centre (SIRC)

The Sport Information Resource Centre (SIRC) and AthletesCAN have joined forces to help our Canadian high performance athletes. This partnership provides our athletes with easy access to the most comprehensive competitive and training resources; a sport librarian to help answer any questions; and the latest opportunities related to careers in sport. An athlete is always searching for ways to improve; now it’s easier to find the resources and strengthen their competitive intelligence.

“It’s great to be able to help our athletes learn something new and discover key elements that can help them excel both today and tomorrow. We see so many amazing articles from leading coaches and researchers, both from here in Canada and around the world, that we are thrilled when we can help connect the research with the athlete.” said Debra Gassewitz, President and CEO of SIRC. “This partnership with AthletesCAN will help tremendously to enhance in the knowledge transfer with our athletes, so that our athletes are getting the information they need, to help them succeed.”

With over 8 million pages of sport related research dating as far back as the 1700’s and encompassing over 62 different languages, SIRC is the world’s leading sport resource centre.
