Georgina Truman
Manager, Athlete Relations & Operations

Georgina Truman is the Manager, Athlete Relations and Operations at AthletesCAN. In her role, she is responsible for administration, programs and services, communications, athlete relations, and events. Before her current role, Georgina has held different positions within the organization including Operations Intern, and Content Curator.  

Her experiences as a multi-sport athlete in her youth translated into a passion for the sport industry and strong connection to athlete-centred sport. Prior to joining AthletesCAN, she developed experience in the recreation, university, and non-profit sport sectors in communications, marketing, and client relations.  

She holds a master’s degree of human kinetics with specialization in sports management and bachelor's degree of human kinetics from the University of Ottawa. Georgina enjoys outdoor recreation and volunteering in sport sector, most notedly for 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup. 

Alan Hudes
Manager, Communications &
Sport Partnerships

Alan Hudes is the Manager of Communications and Sport Partnerships at AthletesCAN. In his role, Alan works closely with the organization's membership as well as National and Multisport Organization stakeholders to promote and tell the stories of Canadian national team athletes. His portfolio includes the development and assessment of marketing and branding strategies, media relations, original multiplatform content creation, and community management of AthletesCAN's digital channels. 

Prior to joining AthletesCAN, Alan held key roles over five years with U SPORTS, helping elevate and transform the commercial efforts of the national brand of university sports in Canada. His previous experience also includes various positions in the sports media and communications industry, including with Maccabi Canada, Hockey Canada, the Canadian Olympic Committee, TSN SportsCentre, Yahoo! Sports Canada and the National Post, among others.

Alan holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree from Ryerson University (renaming in process) in Toronto.
