Born Canadian 1975. 

Sydney 2000 Olympic Triathlon Champion.

Four time Olympian.

London 2012 Olympic Ceremonies Flag Bearer.

Co-founder BlackFishRedDragonBlueWhale excursions club. With a passion for adventure BlackFishRedDragonBlueWhale based On Vancouver Island British Columbia Canada - BRB was born of a desire to be engaged in skilled attention, breathing in fresh air exploring the great outdoors. 

Co-founder Relentless Pursuit Partners - “Relentless Pursuit” charts the path ahead by engaging innovative solution oriented entrepreneurs who are focused on optimum health issues and believe engineered outcomes are achieved through systematic intention;  precision application leading to predictable gain. 

To be relentless in ones pursuit is to be courageous, engaged in inquisition and common enterprise with others; constructive defiance. 

As an Olympic Champion and Paddle Canada Advanced Paddling Instructor teach performance clinics and guide excursions.

With a love for learning and a wealth of high performance sport experience, 

and forty three years of a life committed to constructive defiance,

with the intention to contribute and be grateful.

 

VANESSA SMYTHE 

Vanessa Smythe is a writer, actor, and theatre creator from Toronto. She is the Poet in Residence at Outside the March, and has also been a resident artist with All for One Theater Company in New York. Her original work has toured to critical and popular embrace across Canada, New York, and the UK, and her acclaimed show In Case We Disappear – a collection of poetry, music, stand-up, and stories – was named one of the best free shows of the Edinburgh Fringe, from a bill of over 3000 shows.  She has collaborated with the likes of Woody Harrelson and Julianne Moore, and has mentored with Christian Bök, Daniel MacIvor, and d’bi Young. Vanessa is a graduate of the Humber School for Writers and has an Honours BA in Philosophy from Western University. As an actor her recent credits include a recurring role on Designated Survivor (ABC), as well as appearances on Murdoch Mysteries (CBC), and Cradle to Grave (NatGeo). Vanessa has enjoyed meaningful collaborations as creator and actor with Canadian Stage, The Company Theatre, Crow’s Theatre, Children at Play, fu-GEN Theatre, Howland Theatre Company, Young Peoples’ Theatre, Talk is Free, and Rare Theatre Company.  Upcoming: Vanessa is one of the co-creators of Beta’s Baby Sister – an immersive theatrical experience that happens in an enchanted 90s era video store. For Vanessa, it has been an absolutle pleasure collaborating with Simon to amplify the voices and inspiring contributions of Canadian Athletes. @vsmythe
