Athlete Groups and Anti-Doping-Leaders Join Forces to Call for further reforms of WADA

November 11, 2020 (OTTAWA) - Athlete representatives from 14 countries join forces with 14 leading National Anti-Doping Organizations (NADOs) to collectively call on meaningful reform at the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). As individual organizations, we have repeatedly submitted formal proposals for change. Now we speak collectively to elevate our call for more independence, transparency, and accountability at WADA. And we reaffirm the need to strengthen human rights and eliminate conflicts of interest in the anti-doping system

2020 AthletesCAN Forum featuring the 43rd Canadian Sport Awards goes virtual

(Ottawa, ON – September 10) AthletesCAN is pleased to announce that the 2020 AthletesCAN Forum featuring the 43rd Canadian Sport Awards (“CSA”) will be hosted on October 23-25th, 2020. Both Forum and the CSA will be delivered virtually, with complimentary registration for all AthletesCAN members and sport system leaders.


Athlete Groups Call on World Anti-Doping Agency to Implement Stronger Reforms

July 23, 2020 (Ottawa, ON) - In a joint statement, international athlete groups and athlete representatives including AthletesCAN, Athleten Deutschland e.V., The Athletics Association, Danish Olympic Committee Athlete Commission, United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee Athlete Advisory Council, and Global Athlete call for reforms at the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
